Since starting in 1976, one of the hottest summers on record, with a hired van and a garage, Tavern Snacks today has come a long way and operates fourteen 7.5 Ton trucks from a modern warehouse / offices in Charlton, South East London.
It remains a family owned and run business, employing around 30 people and services pubs, bars and clubs in an area covering all of Greater London and much of the South East of England.
Product range is wide and extensive and covers most, if not all, of the snacks demanded by today’s licensed outlets and their customers.

A great advantage for us is that we can be flexible and act more quickly than some of our larger competitors, for changing customer demands to new market trends.
Over the years we have been first into the market in our area with a number of products.
We brought the first pork scratchings to London, we were initially the sole supplier
of Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts when they exploded onto the market, the only company
to have Scampi Fries when Smiths were test marketing them in Wales and the west of
England. And, a significant first: bringing out crisps packed in foil in 35gm bags
when everyone else was still using polypropylene packaging for 25/26/28gm packets.
For years our crisps were the ONLY single serve bag in foil -
The downside for Tavern Snacks is that we can't afford to employ Gary Lineker or
throw millions of pounds at our brands each year in an effort to continue increasing
market share -
