Established in 1982, although its roots go back much further, Tavern Snacks is a totally independent, family owned business which successfully competes with the giants of the snack industry.

Thomas Jeptha Stubbs, the Great Grandfather of the present owner Barry Stubbs (reluctantly pictured here) manufactured and delivered clay pipes to public houses in the East and South East London by horse and cart.Today pipes have been replaced by snack foods & vehicles are no longer horse drawn.

Accurate on-the-spot invoicing is achieved by means of hand-held computer terminals linked to printers installed in the sales trucks.

Due to our relatively small size, Tavern Snacks can be flexible in its approach and also react quickly to the constantly changing demands of the industry which it serves and in which it competes.
